Hannah Elizabeth and Griff Jameson have joined forces to create an acoustic folk-roots sound which encompasses both their individual musical backgrounds.
Hannah’s influences are firmly planted in traditional folk-roots, whilst in contrast Griff has formed his musical reputation within folk pop/rock genres.
Together, Elizabeth & Jameson arguably offer the best of both backgrounds; this is simplistic, classic song writing at its best - a stripped back harmony-driven sound with acoustic guitar, violin and exquisite vocals.
Kent born songstress Sorrel Nation brings a soulful mix of folk rock, with powerful vocals and haunting melodies. She engages audiences with emotive lyrics, 70’s inspired style and is known for impressive covers of Gillian Welch, Fleetwood Mac & Portishead.
Sorrel has performed at well-known music venues across London and the South East, supporting folk legends such as Dave Swarbrick, Martin Carthy, Madison Violet, Gemma Hayes and rock legend Tom Hingley.
She has performed at Glastonbury Festival, Black Deer Festival and tours the festival circuit over summer with The Magic Teapot music venue.
2024 sees new music released by Sorrel, a single featuring Steve Balsamo (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Storys) in May, a live EP in July and a studio album in October supported by a trio/band tour with many more festival appearances too including Cambridge Folk Festival.
and yes… Sorrel Nation is her real name!
Praised for their 'simply exquisite harmonies,’ The Rye Sisters (Ishani and Sue) are a duo from Lincolnshire who write and perform Americana and folk-country songs in close harmony to guitar and fiddle.
They pull from broadly American influences, such as The Secret Sisters, Gillian Welch, Sarah Jarosz, The Small Glories and The Chicks.
Their second album ‘Distant Light’ was released in December 2023 and was very well received by reviewers.
We welcome back Lynne Hanson, Canada’s own Queen of Americana: Too tough for folk and too blues-y for Country, expect a range from sunshine blue sky ballads to gritty American swamp, underpinned by her unique poetic, songwriting.
Lynne's brand of porch music with a little red dirt can turn on a dime from a sunshine, blue sky ballad to a full on thunderstorm of gritty Americana swamp from one song to the next.
Her hard living music has garnered her the nickname “Canada’s own Queen of Americana.” And while her deep, bluesy croon has drawn comparisons to Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch, it’s the poetry of her lyrics that really sets her apart.
A two-time Canadian Folk Music Award winner, Hanson is known for her high energy, roots guitar driven live performances, whether playing solo or with her band the Good Intentions.
She has an uncanny way of connecting with her audience with an authenticity that is as entertaining as it is disarming
As the charismatic frontman of the UK's hardest-working comedy band, 'The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican', Scott Doonican’s ONE MAN SHOW' is every bit as funny, dynamic and engaging as those with his band.
You will sing along to classics you know, but not the words you thought you knew! You will laugh, you’ll cry (with laughter) and then you’ll laugh some more!
Sound of the Sirens are an acoustic singer-songwriting duo based in Exeter, Devon comprising of Abbe Martin & Hannah Wood. Honing their craft over the past decade, Martin & Wood have cemented themselves as firm favourites not only on the Westcountry scene, but nationally, and internationally too.
Their status, and fast-growing fan-base is not only testament to the pair’s prowess as songwriters and musicians, but as people too.
A Sound of the Sirens show will leave you in awe of Abbe & Hannah’s musical abilities and thoroughly uplifted by the fun they bring to their show, whether on the main stage of a major festival or a more intimate room.
UK alt-folk duo Jacob & Drinkwater have been called “stand out new folk” by BBC6 Music and “inventive and thrilling” by R2 Magazine.
Jacob's sweeping vocals never fail to captivate, delivering many a spine-tingling moment; the fluidity and precision of his finger-picking underpinned by Drinkwater's nimbly rhythmic double bass; at times sweetly soaring, haunting, percussive and driving, the layers of depth a perfect counterfoil.
Featured numerous times on BBC Radio 2, BBC6 Music and lauded by their musical peers as one of the most accomplished acts touring the circuit today.
The critics say:
“Really stop you in your tracks” Fresh On The Net
“Inventive and thrilling” R2: Rock n Reel
“One of our best artists” BBC Devon Introducing
“Intense and spellbinding”
Folk Radio UK
“Stand out new folk... superb.. excellent"
